Household saving rate decreases to 14.4% in the euro area

The household saving rate in the euro area decreased to 14.4% in the fourth quarter of 2025 (compared with 14.8% in the third quarter of 2025), which is explained by consumption increasing at a faster rate than gross disposable income (respectively +1.2% and +0.8%).
