U.S. import prices up 0.2% in January on higher nonfuel prices; export prices rise 0.6%
In January, U.S. import prices increased 0.2 percent, following an advance of 0.2 percent in December. The index for U.S. export prices rose 0.6 percent in January. Over the past year, import prices declined 0.1 percent and export prices advanced 2.6 percent.
